Honolulu Marathon Documentary Film "The Day" starring Yoshio Kojima to be released on April 9 on official YouTube

The Honolulu Marathon Japan Office will release a documentary film of comedian Yoshio Kojima's participation in the Honolulu Marathon on April 9, 2024, on the official YouTube page of the event.

Yoshio Kojima was a supporter ＆ of the Honolulu Marathon in 2023 and 2024, and last year was his first participation in the Honolulu Marathon. On the day of the marathon, Yoshio fulfilled his role by stopping along the way, giving high-fives, and cheering on the runners as they ran. At the end of the race, she changed into a traditional Hawaiian runner's costume and completed the race in 5 hours, 50 minutes, and 52 seconds. This 21-minute short film shows Mr. Kojima's sincere approach to the marathon.

In completing this documentary film, Kojima said, "When I participated in the Honolulu Marathon for the first time, I was first surprised at the number of Japanese runners. Although I was supposed to be cheering everyone on as a cheering supporter, on the contrary, I was given a lot of courage and was filled with gratitude. It was truly aloha. \It was also the first time for me to run in a bathing suit and to run as the King's Runner, which is also depicted in the Honolulu Marathon logo. I was really happy to be able to run in my own way ！ I also talked about my own thoughts and philosophy of life in the short film "The Day," which was closely followed throughout the Honolulu Marathon. I believe that the film is well worth watching. I hope everyone who watches it will feel something from it. ！ All Happy, Oppppy ！ ！" he said.
