aloha ke akua!

Welcome to our ohana! We're glad you found us. HCC is a family that is a wonderful mix of ages, cultures, personalities, gifts and talents. Whether you're just exploring the Christian faith, or you're a long-time believer, we want to help you on your journey. And if you're struggling with life's problems, we want to help. So if you're looking for a welcoming, safe, and warm atmosphere, family and youth programs, close friendships, in-depth Bible teaching, gospel-centered messages, and God-focused worship, we think you've come to the right place. We're not perfect, but each of us are under construction by God's Spirit. So check out this website, and see if this family is for you. And if you have any further questions about the Bible, Jesus Christ, the church's background, activities, or beliefs, please feel free to call or contact us. We're here to help.

If you are a first-time visitor, even if you have no church experience, you will feel comfortable and at home. Our hope is that you will be led to sense the presence of God, such that you come away with awe, wonder, and a stronger faith in Jesus Christ. It is our hope and prayer that the services will honor God, exalt Jesus Christ, be led by the Holy Spirit, and be based on the Bible. You will notice that some people raise their hands during the service while others sit quietly and meditatively. People do this because they have found the ultimate joy in life through Jesus Christ.

We seek to be Biblical, placing great emphasis on Bible expository preaching, i.e. the explanation and life application of a text of Scripture. While Biblical, we also seek to be life-relevant. We are contemporary and relaxed in style.

Honolulu Christian PReSchool

A hidden gem, located in lush Manoa Valley, is a small school working closely with parents to enhance the development of their child.  A low student-teacher ratio and an experienced nurturing staff provide opportunities for children to develop into well-rounded individualsHCP offers a well-balanced curriculum and allow students to discover personal interests through a variety of hands-on activities.

The Honolulu Christian Preschool hopes to instill the joy of learning, respect of oneself and others, and develop a Christ-like character and biblical morals that will last a lifetime.

sunday services in-person

Worship services are at 10:45 am every Sunday (except 5th Sundays of the month which are at 9:45). Masks are optional. Our AC systems in the Sanctuary and Social Hall are set to circulate only fresh air, not recycled air. That is, instead of recirculating air from the room, the cool air blown out from the AC vents is fresh air from the outside, in order to minimize the circulation of any contagions.

Parking is available on the street. If you are a first-time visitor, or handicapped, we have a parking space reserved for you in our main parking lot. You may also park in the nearby University of Hawaii lot located at 1951 University Ave. Walking to the church from the UH lot takes 4-5 minutes.

Children's Sunday School classes preschool through middle school meet during the 10:45 service (except 5th Sundays of the month which are at 9:45).

There is no infant childcare yet, but you are welcome to bring your infant into the service, or use the "cry room" with TV monitor for your convenience. If you desire your children to be in Sunday School, please ask a greeter at the welcome table, who will instruct you on how to check-in your child.

High School and Adult Sunday School classes meet from 9:15 to 10:15 am. A few classes still remain online. Please click here for a description of each class, and whether they are currently meeting online or in-person.
