About the restaurant card I entered my information （ SSNnumber and phone number ） on the restaurant card website you shared recently and
successfully confirmed that I am eligible for the card.
② About PEUC
I applied on September 24 and received a conformation email the same day, but
it's been almost 3 weeks and I haven't received any indication of a 13 week balance or approval or anything
so I thought I would call the UI office. ・ ・ ・ I checked my UI account one more time
today, and
out of the 3 times I Claim Certified for 9/26, 10/3 and 10/10, the first 2 times were Processed and the balance was also reflected.
We expect that the 10/10 minutes, which is currently Pending, will be Processed in a while.
In our case, the application was approved （ Processed ） in about 3 weeks, so you may want to wait a little longer
if it has been only a few days or 1 ～ 2 weeks since you applied.
（ Of course, if you have any concerns or worries, please call the UI office. ）

Some UI recipients were denied for restaurant cards. I have seen various reasons, but it is only a "guess" and only the UI office knows the reason for rejection. I didn't dare to share the case study in this thread to avoid confusion. Above all, I hope that the Hawaii government will expand the scope of eligibility soon.

I am sharing again below as I expect more people who have received PEUC approval will be coming.

When applying for PEUC, there is a high probability of a system error causing a new reset of tax withholding.

For those who have already set up Tax Withholding before applying for PEUC, it is recommended to set up Tax Withholding immediately after receiving the confirmation number for PEUC application.

Also, since the UI system is prone to system errors, it is recommended to set up Tax Withholding again after filing the first Claim a Certification after PEUC application, just to "be safe".

As a final check, please open the "Details" page of your first deposit after PEUC approval and see if the tax withholding is properly deducted for the deposit amount. If not, please reset it.


[How to set up Tax Withholding]
In the "My Account" section of your account, at the bottom of the "Tax Withholding" section, click "YES" to submit the following question.
