Water service shutdown scheduled for Po'ohiwi Road on July 16

KALAHEO - The Department of Water (DOW) announces a water service shutdown scheduled for Po'ohiwi Road on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting.

The water service shutdown is necessary to allow DOW contractor to install a bypass waterline on Po'ohiwi Road for the Kalaheo Water Systems Improvements Project.

Customers are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:


* Store water to meet your needs until water service can be restored.
* Notify neighbors, family and friends of the water service shutdown.
* Those with faulty water heaters should ensure their water heater does not empty during the shutdown.
* To monitor water service announcements online, visit Department of Water's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/KauaiDOW.
