*Officials advise no swimming, ocean activities at Kekaha Beach due to

**shark sighting*

KEKAHA – Kaua‘i Ocean Safety Bureau officials are advising no swimming or other ocean activities at Kekaha Beach due to a shark sighting.

According to a preliminary report, OSB officials spotted a 15-foot tiger shark in waters off Kekaha Beach. No injuries were reported.

As a safety precaution, OSB officials have posted warning signs and will continue to monitor the area.

If there are no other sightings by tomorrow afternoon, Aug. 4, OSB officials will take down warning signs. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
