County announces holiday closures 

LĪHU‘E – In observance of the Labor Day holiday, County of Kaua‘i offices and all neighborhood centers will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7.

Closures also include the following facilities:


* All refuse transfer stations;
* The Kekaha Landfill;
* All HI5 Redemption Centers; 
* The  Līhuʻe Redemption Center; and
* The Puhi Metals Recycling Facility

Because the Kap‘aa and Waimea swimming pools are normally closed on Mondays, the pools will be closed and observe the holiday on Tuesday, Sept. 8. 

The HI5 Redemption Center in Kōloa will be open on Sunday, Sept. 6, once roads reopen after The Kaua‘i Marathon and Half Marathon. 

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its current daily schedule.


Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, September 8.
