July 30, Notice: Public is advised of KPD’s ‘back up’ non-emergency
dispatch lines

The Kaua‘i Police Department’s non-emergency dispatch line (808-241-1711) was restored Tuesday night, following a short disruption due to internal system upgrades. While IT officials continue to work on the upgrades tonight, KPD officials are advising the public of alternative non-emergency dispatch phone lines in case operations are disrupted again.

The public may call the following numbers if KPD’s non-emergency dispatch line is out of service: 808-755-8516 or 808-652-7837.

911 emergency service also experienced a brief disruption, but was immediately restored and remains operational.

Updates will be provided when more information becomes available.
