This is a plastic waste related event for ages 13-24. Includes free lunch and t-shirt. Prizes will be available. Limited to 50 participants, so please let us know you'd like to attend via Eventbrite as soon as possible.
The Youth Empowerment Summit is an event for local children and youth ages 13-24 to address the issue of plastic waste ( in English ). It is a training-type summit on civil rights, policy, and all issues of plastic pollution and will be held on Saturday, July 29 ( ) from 9 am to 3 pm at the Hawaii State Capitol ( ).
The event is organized ・ by local high school and college students from Hawaii. Throughout the day, participants will gain skills in solving the plastic pollution problem from a variety of perspectives. The goal of the summit is to provide an opportunity for people to learn and engage with the issue of waste in a fun and educational environment, rather than a passive event where people just listen to speeches.
All participants will receive a free lunch and t-shirt. There will also be a chance to win prizes worth $100.
