*Lydgate Campground fishing access area to be closed July 8 to July 11*

LYDGATE – The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) is announcing that the Lydgate Campground fishing access area will be closed starting 6 a.m. July 8 and will reopen at 2:30 p.m. on July 11.

This closure is necessary to allow DOPR staff to thoroughly clean and perform much-needed tree trimming of the Lydgate Campground facilities, which normally cannot be done due to individuals and vehicles in the area.

The Lydgate Campground will remain open and this closure will not affect any permitted campers.
