1:40 p.m., Sept. 11, Refuse Transfer Stations Update

Below is the current service status of Kaua‘i’s refuse transfer stations and the Kekaha Landfill as of 1:40 p.m., Sept. 11.


* *Hanalei Refuse Transfer Station
*5-3751 Kuhio Hwy, Princeville
Open 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Green waste is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
*Current Status: *Due to equipment failure, trash is not being accepted. All other services are available. 

* *Kapa'a Refuse Transfer Station*
5051 Kahi Road, Kapa‘a
Open 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
*Current Status:* Due to equipment failure, only bagged trash is accepted until further notice. Metals drop-off will experience temporary closures on Tuesdays and Fridays (Wednesdays and Saturdays during weeks with Holidays) to allow our metals hauler to remove the material safely. 
* *Līhu‘e Refuse Transfer Station
*3450 Ahukini Road, Līhu‘e
*Current Status:* CLOSED for renovations until Nov. 2
* *Hanapēpē Refuse Transfer Station*
4380 Lele Road, Hanapēpē
Open 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
*Current Status:* All services are available.

* *Kekaha Landfill*
6900 Kaumuali‘i Hwy, Kekaha
Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Closed for lunch from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
*Current Status: *All services are available.

All locations are open daily, except on holidays.
