Oct. 25 UPDATE: The revised starting date for *Wailua Houselots Park tennis and basketball courts to be closed starting Nov. 4*

The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) is announcing that the tennis and basketball courts at Wailua Houselots Park will now be closed from Nov. 4, 2024, to Feb. 25, 2025, weather permitting.

*Wailua Houselots Park tennis and basketball courts to be closed starting Nov. 4*

WAILUA – The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) is announcing that the tennis and basketball courts at Wailua Houselots Park will be closed from Nov. 4, 2024, to Feb. 25, 2025, weather permitting.

The closure is necessary for playcourt resurfacing work, the addition of a pickleball court, and other upgrades.

The general contractor for the project is Pacific Concrete Cutting & Coring, Inc.

This closure is part of the County’s $3.1 million Playcourt Resurfacing Project, including Wailua Homesteads Park, the Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex, and Puhi Park. Updates on the construction and closures of other facilities’ play courts will be announced in future news releases.

The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks the public for their patience and understanding.
