*Lydgate Campground to temporarily close Nov. 12 to Nov. 21*

LĪHU‘E – The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) is announcing that the Lydgate Campground will be closed from Nov. 12 to Nov. 21. Camping will reopen on Thursday, Nov. 21, at noon.  

This closure is necessary to allow DOPR staff to thoroughly clean and perform much-needed grounds maintenance of the Lydgate Campground facilities.

Individuals with existing camping permits will be notified and refunded their permit fees and will be assisted in obtaining permits at other county campground locations.
