*Community meeting scheduled Dec. 7 for Lydgate Beach Park breakwater maintenance project*

LYDGATE – The Friends of Kamalani and Lydgate Park and Oceanit Laboratories Inc., with support from the County of Kaua‘i, announce a community meeting for the Morgan's Ponds breakwater maintenance project at the Hilton Garden Inn Kaua‘i’s Conservatory Room on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The Hilton Garden Inn Kaua‘i is located at 3-5920 Kūhiō Highway, Kapa‘a, adjacent to the Lydgate Beach Park.

The purpose of this meeting is to engage the community in discussing options for a long-term maintenance plan to preserve Morgan’s Ponds, its shoreline, and its breakwater.

This is a follow-up to the initial open house outreach “talk story” session held at Lydgate Beach Park this past July 20, during which many ideas were gathered. These ideas were the basis for developing alternative plans that will be presented for discussion at the upcoming community meeting.

For more information about the meeting, contact Berna Senelly with Oceanit Laboratories at 817-422-1372 and bsenelly@oceanit.com

If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, contact Kylan Dela Cruz at kdelacruz@kauai.gov or 808-241-4927 as soon as possible. Requests made as early as possible will allow adequate time to fulfill your request. Upon request, this notice is available in alternate formats such as large print, Braille, or electronic copy.
