*K-PAL celebrates completion of new multipurpose court in Līhu‘e *

LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Activities League (K-PAL) is excited to announce the completion of its new multipurpose court in Līhu‘e.

Following the successful grand opening of its boxing and wrestling facilities last October, K-PAL proudly unveiled a new multipurpose court, located next to the Kaua‘i Philippine Cultural Center, on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025. The court will host basketball, pickleball, and other community activities for youth. The ceremony featured remarks from Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami and Chief Todd G. Raybuck, with a blessing led by Police Chaplain Jade Wai’ale’ale Battad.

K-PAL is dedicated to providing an atmosphere that motivates youth to lead drug-free lives and help them reach their full potential by providing activities, mentorship and most importantly, fun. The newly renovated court embodies this vision, providing a space for positive connections between law enforcement and the community. Last year, over 1,100 youth participated in K-PAL’s flag football, boxing, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling programs.
