DOW Update: Water service shutdown rescheduled for Po'ohiwi Road to July 17

KALAHEO - The water service shutdown planned for Po'ohiwi Road has been rescheduled to Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting.  An update will be provided if new information is received.

07/10/24, KALAHEO - The Department of Water (DOW) announces a water service shutdown scheduled for Po'ohiwi Road on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting.

 

The water service shutdown is necessary to allow DOW contractor to install a bypass waterline on Po'ohiwi Road for the Kalaheo Water Systems Improvements Project.

 

Customers are advised to prepare for the water service shutdown by taking the following steps:
- Store water to meet your needs until water service can be restored.
- Notify neighbors, family and friends of the water service shutdown.
- Those with faulty water heaters should ensure their water heater does not empty during the shutdown.
