Water service shutdown to portion of Ulili Road on Oct. 3

KEKAHA – The Department of Water (DOW) has scheduled a water service shutdown on a portion of Ulili Road; between Akekeke Road and Amakihi Road, in Kekaha on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., weather permitting.

DOW crews will be installing a new hydrant valve and hydrant lateral in the service area.

To prepare for a water service shutdown, customers are advised to take the following steps:
• Store water to meet your needs until water service can be restored.
• Notify neighbors, family and friends in the service of the water shutdown.
• Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that their water heater does not empty during the shutdown.

Water service announcements are delivered to the service area via Kauai County Alerts, a mass notification service (also known as WENS) that provides notices by phone, text or email. Residents may sign-up to receive alerts at https://entry.inspironlogistics.com/kauai_hi/wens.cfm.
