*County announces holiday closures*

LĪHU‘E – In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20.

Closures also include the following facilities on Jan. 20:


* all neighborhood centers;
* the Puhi Metals Recycling Center;
* the Kekaha Landfill;
* HI5 Redemption Centers; and
* all refuse transfer stations.

Because the Waimea and Kapa‘a swimming pools are closed on Mondays, staff will observe the holiday on Tuesday, Jan. 21. 

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. 

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its regular schedule on the holidays.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
