This is my first time here, so please let me know.　I will be in the Mainland for college this fall.　My car is in Hawaii.　Just before I left Hawaii, I had a collision in the Kahala area.　It was not a major collision and the damage to both of our cars was not serious, so we exchanged contact information and that was the end of it.　A few weeks later, while my family was driving the car, we noticed that the A/C was not working （ I was already in Mainland for college at the time ） I went to have it checked out and was told that the A/C would not work without repairing the front of the car and was given an estimate.　　I am prepared to contact the insurance company, but a few weeks ago I dropped my phone and all the data was lost due to a shock or something.　I have not even backed up the data.　
I was told that when I contact the insurance company, they will contact the other party's name, address, photo, etc.　
If the other party's information is lost, will insurance be denied? ？

I have asked my family in Hawaii to do the estimates and repairs. I will be the one to contact the insurance company, but is it possible that the insurance will not be reimbursed in this situation ？ Please let me know if you have any information in advance.
