ハワイ在住の親類に贈り物をしたいのですが、おすすめは?

はじめまして。ハワイに在住経験、もしくは滞在経験のある方にお尋ねしたく、書き込みします。
最近子供が生まれ、ハワイ(マウイ島)在住の親戚から、日本国内の親戚を通じてお祝い金をもらいました。内祝としてお返しの品を贈ろうと思うのですが、せっかくなら、現地で手に入りにくいものがいいかな? と思い、いろいろ考えています。デパートで買えるもの・予算は1万円程度で、自分だったらこういうものが欲しい、とういう品物があれば、教えていただけませんか?
今のところ、和菓子やくずきり、佃煮などの詰め合わせはどうかと考えています。もしよろしければ、これに対する感想もお聞かせください。
