It seems that the UI office changed its route midway through the process after the Federal Order came in, so if you applied for EB20 after December 29, Kapahulu, there is a good chance that your EB20 application will proceed.

It would be a real problem if the UI office would not accept the EB20 cancellation by any means on the grounds that it is a Federal Order and would not even take responsibility for its own Glitch issue regarding the Benefit Year End deadline. There are many people in the same situation, so I just strongly hope that in March the Biden administration will add an unemployment insurance program like the PEUC 11-week extension.

I will also talk to the Legal Aid organization in my capacity as community help here and ask them for their view on the situation that is happening between the Federal Order and the old system problems at the UI office. We will also attempt to report this to the federal government. If I get a response, I will let Kapahulu, Inquiry, and Maruko know immediately.

Thank you for your reassuring words.
In our case, the first full payment of PEUC ended on December 19, and the YEAR END deadline was December 29, so
we had no choice but to apply for EB20, which was considered the best as of December 29, by slipping in.
As I shared yesterday, when I talked to the UI OFFICE on the phone, everything
[FEDERAL ORDER] [HAVE TO OBEY FEDERAL] [STATE UI OFFICE CAN NOT CHANGE] etc
was all Federal's fault. I blamed it all on Federal.
The point that we are not convinced, if the 13 weeks of EB20 payment is completed by March 13, we can apply for PEUC2, but
if it is after that date, we cannot apply.
In the unlikely event that we are left with no other option but to accept EB20, all 13 weeks of our EB20 payment will end on March 20.
We told them that it is NOT FAIR because we will not be able to apply for PEUC2, but the UI OFFICE was still a [FEDERAL ORDER].
I think it would be fair to everyone if the total weeks of payment were to be the same for both EB20 and PEUC2 ？
as soon as March arrives （ and I hope ） to be able to apply for PEUC2 as soon as possible. I hope that FEDERAL will announce the best way to make it fair for everyone as a wishful thinking.
