I applied for Medicare but was not approved because I am short a few more credits and because of my status (E visa). I have lived in the U.S. for 18 years, although I have to have lived in the U.S. for the past 5 years. I have paid my taxes and was told that some people have been approved for the same visa.
I can appeal within 60 days if I disagree with this result, but I will be returning to Japan for more than 2 months for medical treatment. If anyone knows of a specialist who can help me with an appeal in this type of case, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

and have been earning income through payroll.
I have a question on this condition.
I heard that you have to work more than 10 years to get pension in the U.S. I also heard that the period of time you worked in Japan can be added to this 10 years
