Hello, sunset and everyone. It's been a while.

Thanks for your help.

I am at home in Furlough. The expiration date was 6/30/2021, but last week for 7/3

I was able to manually enter the date and claim and it went through the process.

Today, however, it shows Your week-ending date is not within a claim benefit year

and I cannot claim.

Do I need to call UI tomorrow, Monday, to report it?

Is there a solution without calling?

If anyone knows, I would appreciate it if you could share the information.

No rule changes in the previous "March → June PEUC extension" and this "June → September PEUC extension".

① You have not worked since you first applied for unemployment insurance and have paid or bonus income File an Initial Claim Application Reminder Email （ This email is a Glitch ）

Contact the UI office and request a PEUC extension, stating that your Benefit Year End has expired and that you have not worked since you first applied for unemployment insurance. Do not tell them that you received an email reminder to File an Initial Claim

At the time of the "March → June PEUC Extension" request, the UI office tended to ask if there was any paid or bonus income. In this "June → September PEUC Extension" request, they tend to ask you to "email copies of all pay stubs since you first applied for unemployment insurance".

Hello. Thank you for your help.

Thank you very much for your immediate response.

I called UI immediately, but after dozens of calls, still no connection at all.

If they would change it to press 1 instead of saying ONE, I would be able to proceed.

Still no improvement.

I gave up on calling and reported by Email.

I will report back if there is any progress.

I have no work income since my Unemployment Insurance benefits, but after Layoff, my former employer paid me for my unused PTO (Paid Time Off) and Severance pay （ severance pay ）.
Claim expired 6/30 and then received File an Initial Claim email on 7/3.
I made an appointment with [Phone Reservation OAHU APPOINTMENTS] and spoke with a UI representative on the phone.
（ File an Initial Claim email was not mentioned. ）
I explained that I had not worked at any point, but they would not take it up.
"Just wait a couple of weeks for the Employer Service Department to contact your former employer to find out what was paid to you."
I was told that my former employer would be inquiring about the amount of money paid to me. I checked with my former employer, and the morning after this call, I received an inquiry from UI, and they told me that the Payroll representative would respond to UI one by one.
I asked about my former co-workers in the same situation, and the ones I spoke to on the phone with the UI were also contacted by their former employer.
However, for the ex-colleagues who did not take any action, they did not report anything to the UI because there was no inquiry from the UI.
This experience has shown me that the UI is now investigating one case at a time in response to inquiries for subjects like me, whose Claims were expired on 6/30 and who received a File an Initial Claim email.
I also found out that my former employer does not report to UI about subjects who have not been contacted by UI.
I am posting this in hopes that it will be of some help.

Nick,

Once again, it's been a while.

Even English speakers seem to struggle with the One pronunciation
and the inconvenience of call centers is a real problem.

I saw in a past thread that
it worked when I
dubbed the One pronunciation on the Internet instead.
（ But it looks like I need two phones ）

I wish you a speedy resolution.
