Cases of Concern]

One person provided us with information and we are sharing it with you after consulting with the Unemployment Insurance Help Team.

In particular, people whose WBA has jumped after submitting a second Initial Application or after automatically getting a PEUC extension should take note.

This person and his colleagues became totally unemployed in the summer and have not worked since they started receiving unemployment insurance.

However, they did not get an automatic extension after the Benefit Year End expired and received an email notice telling them to submit a second Initial Application.

And when he submitted the second Initial Application, his WBA jumped from $ 400 units to $ 600 units. Moreover, they have been credited to their bank account （ They have reconfirmed ） that apart from the jumped WBA, $300 per week has been credited .

According to the Unemployment Insurance Help Team, it is impossible for the WBA of an applicant who has never worked since he/she started receiving unemployment insurance to jump up, so it is most likely a happening due to system error or human error on the UI office side.

The solution is ① or ②.

① Send it to the UI office via email, fax or mail along with a copy of the approval letter at the WBA that was bumped up and a letter of circumstance to be reviewed while you are at it. And have it corrected if necessary.

If you made a mistake in answering a question or labor income, please call the call center ASAP while in Pending status to have it corrected directly. According to past cases, we strongly recommend that you call as they tend not to respond to emails or faxes.

-Initial Application-
If you make a mistake in entering your name, social security number, address, company name, etc., the UI office system will not automatically pick up the applicant's past income.
