There is a new share about the status indication on Claim a Certification application, I share it below.

If the "Pending" indication that has been there for a long time disappears and everything changes to "Filed", it means that PEUC approval is near （ as early as the next day or as late as within a week ）.

When PEUC approval is granted, the status will change from "Filed" to "Processed".

Biggest reason for delay in PEUC processing: unreported income&unreported employment. The director in charge through the UI office interpreted that the delay is not due to the high volume of PEUC applications, but because the initial application is carefully scrutinized to determine if there is any unreported information about employment history, salary or wages from previous or current jobs, or overpayment of unemployment insurance by the hiring company or the applicant. They do this because they are scrutinizing the application carefully.

Those who have had many job changes, bonuses, paychecks, retirement benefits, etc., those who have a sole proprietorship on the side, and those who would have been eligible for PUA rather than UI will likely have a particularly lengthy PEUC review process.

It is only a matter of why the review is taking longer for each person. Let's just wait for approval.

I spoke with the person in charge, and he said that EB20 will be scrutinized more closely than PEUC, and the criteria for rejection ・ will be a bit tougher.

I received a letter of determination of insured status on Sep 29.
Your PEUC benefit year says September 12, but as of November 8, I still have not received the money.
I got the letter but my UI account shows pending.



I applied for PEUC in September, but
the benefit end of year in my UI account was 03/04/2021. I called the call center because I read in this thread that there is a possibility of system error if it is in March instead of 12/xx/2021, but the first time I called, I was told that the date was written with more days just in case, and the second time I talked to another person, I was told that the date doesn't 't matter, I was told.
Eventually, they said they would check with someone higher up and call me back, but I never received a call. It has been 3 weeks since I first called.



I remember to file

1. you mean that PEUC approval is not finished yet and the new account balance is not shown yet ？

2. while applying for PEUC, the status of your Claim a Certification application changes frequently due to system backup. The correct date is "12/29/2020", not 12/○/2021.

The system error displayed "3/4/2021" and since there were many requests for correction from applicants, the UI office must have changed its line in the middle of the process, saying "No correction is required for 3/4/2021 display. Don't worry about it. When you eventually apply for EB20, just pay attention to when the account balance becomes zero or exhausted after PEUC approval, not "3/4/2021".

Unemployment Insurance Overpayment

You may receive a phone call or letter from the UI office stating that you have an "overpayment" while receiving unemployment insurance or waiting for PEUC approval.

If you receive such a communication, you should contact the Benefit Overpayment office directly.
