Cases of Concern]

One person provided us with information and we are sharing it with you after consulting with the Unemployment Insurance Help Team.

In particular, people whose WBA has jumped after submitting a second Initial Application or after automatically getting a PEUC extension should take note of this.

This person and his colleagues became totally unemployed in the summer and have not worked since they started receiving unemployment insurance.

However, they did not get an automatic extension after the Benefit Year End expired and received an email notice telling them to submit a second Initial Application.

And when he submitted the second Initial Application, his WBA jumped from $ 400 units to $ 600 units. Moreover, they have been credited to their bank account （ They have reconfirmed ） that apart from the jumped WBA, $300 per week has been credited .

According to the Unemployment Insurance Help Team, it is impossible for the WBA of an applicant who has never worked since he/she started receiving unemployment insurance to jump up, so it is most likely a happening due to a system error or human error on the UI office side.

The solution is ① or ②.

① Send it to the UI office by email, fax or mail, along with a copy of the approval letter at the WBA that was bumped up and a letter of circumstances, to be reexamined now. And have it corrected if necessary.

You may be lucky if the UI office doesn't notice, but be aware that the risk of this choice is high and you will likely be treated as an Overpayment. the UI office will not overlook an Overpayment of only $10 or less. They tend to suddenly stop payment after a few months. Please read the "PEUC not yet approved" topic for your reference.
