I have a friend with whom I have lunch, dinner, and barbecue once a month, and quite often she brings a friend of hers that I don't know. She is the one who invites me to lunch in the first place, but when it comes time to make plans to meet her, she insists on bringing her friend.

I'm not sure who to ask for a clear answer, but would you report the amount of sole proprietorship income you received while receiving unemployment insurance as the answer to the following question in the Weekly Certification? ？

Did you receive residual pay, commissions or other deductible income such as bonuses, or back pay? Employer （ There is some confusion as to whether you should enter income received from an employer ） with whom you have an employment relationship, or whether you should enter any form of income at all.

I would like to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

The son of a friend of mine was laid off part time for corona reasons and received UI.
He is currently in a long pending because of overpayments.

Son started a 40 hour/week Federal job from mid-May through July.
He will be DISQUALIFIED because he exceeds his WBA, but this job will end in mid-July, so he is planning to keep filing.
However, he is behind in pay for the Federal job, so he is holding off on filing for 3 weeks.

If I go more than 4-5 weeks without filing anything, will I lose my eligibility for UI benefits ？
