Haneda, I have experience with transfers.

I went to
Honolulu → Haneda → Nagoya last May and this January, both on JAL.

Last year, due to PCR search, I found it difficult to transfer to Nagoya, so I stayed one night and took a Nagoya flight the next day.

Arrived at Haneda, went through immigration, picked up my luggage, went through customs,
stayed overnight at a business hotel in Kamata, and headed to Nagoya the next day.

In January, I was able to take a flight to Nagoya on the same day.

I also flew back via Haneda
My luggage went through from Nagoya to Honolulu.
In the morning, I took the 7:30am flight to Haneda, and although the transit time at Haneda was long, I enjoyed seeing Tokyo and meeting friends in Tokyo.

Actually, I am still in my hometown and came here yesterday on a direct flight to Nagoya, but
I will go back via Haneda to have fun in Tokyo.

JAL Honolulu ⇔ Haneda, and Nagoya → Haneda → Honolulu and

I had no idea to spend a whole day sightseeing in Tokyo,
since my first priority was to go to Centrair in the morning. There are a lot of places to stop by in Tokyo, so we won't be bored until the evening .
In that case, I would probably pick up my luggage at Haneda and leave it in the luggage storage
since I have time before my departure flight.

When I returned this New Year's holiday, there were quite a few empty seats on the Nagoya flight, but
now when I look at the available seats in the reservation system, it looks like they are filled up pretty well.
It is good to see people coming and going again, but we need to reset the feeling that we are used to empty and comfortable airplanes.

I also felt it was a hassle to go through Haneda at first.
However, when there was no Nagoya flight, I had no choice but to take it.
I deliberately took the Haneda route last time and this time because I could use the transfer time in Tokyo for good and I did not have to pay for the Shinkansen.

On the return trip, when you check in at JAL domestic flight at Centrair, they give you a boarding pass for
Nagoya → Haneda
Haneda → Honolulu.

And your luggage will go through to Honolulu.
So no need to pick up or check in at Haneda.

When you get off the plane, you can go out normally (it is a domestic flight)
Go sightseeing,
If you want to check your carry-on baggage, you can go to baggage check.

If you want to board the Honolulu flight, use the boarding pass you received at Centrair.
You don't need to check in, so it's easy.

I go through Haneda because it takes a long time to get out to the center of Tokyo if I go through Narita.

In January, there were no seats available, but
This time, I flew to Nagoya on May 25, and
there were no seats available. I looked around and there were no empty seats in economy, and
there were only a few seats in premium comfort.

And the return flight in June, Haneda → Honolulu, was also near full.

It is very convenient to be able to move around without thinking about luggage when you arrive back at Haneda.
It is very convenient to be able to go to the center of Tokyo and do a lot of things on the last day.
（ On the other hand, I would like to avoid the return trip via Narita ）

Due to various reasons, I can make concrete plans in June.
I think the seat itself will be fine since I will be traveling alone, but
I'm the type of person who doesn't feel comfortable unless it's an aisle seat.
I'll make a flight reservation as soon as June.

Nagoya for return → Haneda is arriving at Terminal 1.
Haneda → Honolulu departs from Terminal 3.

If you check your carry-on baggage in the baggage check
I would check it in at Terminal 1, pick it up at Terminal 1 first in the evening, have a meal, and then move to Terminal 3 (then take the free bus)

That is a bit of a pain.

The Wi-Fi rental that was mentioned earlier in the topic is
returned at Terminal 3.
