ホリデーマート、懐かしいです
因みに現在ワイキキにあるT Galleria (免税店)があった場所にWoolworthsと言うスーパーがあったのを知っている方、どれくらいいらっしゃいますか？😅

ウールワース、25年、30年くらい前にありましたね。
あの頃は、ワイキキ、メインストリートのカラカウア通りにも、個人商店がたくさんありました。
安心屋、とか、田中屋、とか、安全屋、とか、宮田屋、みどり屋、など、日本人がフラっと入ってくるような日本語の看板を出してました。
店の入り口には、段ボールの切れ端に、「日本語でどうぞ！免税店。安心です。」「日本人経営、大丈夫です。」とかマジックで書いてあった。しかし全て韓国人経営でしたが。
あと、ワイキキに何店舗も、岡田屋が有った。
古き良き時代。

懐かしいですね。
あの頃はメイシーズもリバティハウスでしたし、岡田屋もたくさんありました。
ロイヤルハワイアンセンターにはマキナニーもありました。
DFSもルーレットとかイベントがあって毎日通っても楽しい場所でした。
ところでどなたかカラカウアにJolly Rogerというレストランが
あったのを覚えている方はいらっしゃいますか？
場所の記憶があやふやで、どの辺にあったのか覚えている方がいれば
教えて下さい。ビーチコマー辺りかな？と思っているのですが。

Jolly Rogerは今のショッピングプラザがあるところだったと思います。ビーチコマーの隣は映画館でしたよね。昔のハワイ、大好きでした！
