I have never tipped for take-out rice balls.

With these high prices, not only the waiters, but also us residents （ and office workers ） cannot afford it.

Those who can afford it are paying above average tips. I think that's fine.

I know people who are self-employed and have to spend more money than they get in taxes.

You buy it in a store, not a restaurant, and when you select the screen, choose NOTIP
and put it in a cup or something else that is left for a $1 tip in cash.
It's the same $1 or $2 at Starbucks. Unless you are in a restaurant where you sit down to be served

We feel that the tipping culture is becoming even more prevalent due to Corona.
Tipping servers is understandable, but very often we are asked to tip on the screen
in the style of standing in line at a store to buy something. In the case of the Corona Disaster, I used to tip as a way of
supporting the store, but when I get in line at the store to buy a single tapioca and
tip is displayed, I don't know which service I am tipping for.

thank you. I am relieved to know that my sense is not so far off. I'm sorry to add this, but the other day when I skipped a tip at a certain rice ball shop, the Japanese waiter gave me a blatantly disgusted look
and I wondered if it is a job where I receive tips on a regular basis ？ to begin with. The POS System has a Tip section. This cannot be omitted on the System.

So, if you have a To Go rice ball shop or something like that, if that section comes up, you can SKIP
no problem.

Of course, if you put a Tip, no problem.

Tip should be said "put down" or "give", not "pay". I want you to put it down comfortably.
