I renewed at Kapalama last month.
The expiration date was the end of March and Aloha Q was only available in May, so I went there in the morning to see if I could get on the waiting list.
There was no announcement at the entrance that there was a waiting list, so I was about to leave when I was told by the man at the parking lot （ that there had been a charge for parking ・ ・ ・ ） that there was a waiting list and that I should sit at the front of the stone bench in front of the entrance. I waited there, and a little before 8:00 OPEN, an attendant came out, wrote my name on the waiting list, and I was able to renew my reservation successfully.
It seems that about a third of the people who book don't actually show up, so I waited out front and was able to wait on the waiting list.
I don't know about other DMVs, but you can go there in the morning to try it out.

I went to Kapolei last week to renew my license.
I was also worried because the first appointment I could get was a month and a half after my license was due, so I was checking the AlohaQ website and found an appointment available for Kapolei the next day, so I took it.
The staff at the license office told me that Kapolei would put the next day's reservation on AlohaQ between 3 and 6 pm when it was available, so I happened to be lucky enough to see it at that time.

There is no problem renewing your license when it expires, but if you want to renew quickly and Kapolei is good for you, try them.

Just to be clear. As I wrote in #825, don't just wait for the letter, you may get a phone call as well. Try taking all phone numbers that you don't remember. I think it is always a good idea to set up an answering machine as well. If there is no response, you will be put off.

I have a zero balance through December. I finally got a phone call yesterday and the pending was finally lifted. please advise me whether I should apply for PEUC or EB20. the deadline for UI is March 15.
Also, I had 2 JOBs in Hawaii and California, but the Employee place in Hawaii has disappeared from my system. Did the UI office in Hawaii decide that isakura made a mistake and made "Quit" and rejected it as it was? Hi,
I recently completed the process to change my name, I called the SS office and asked them to tell me how to apply for a name change.
I was told that they now accept all applications by mail, so I sent my passport, green card, Marriage License, Drivers License, and the application form by Certified Mail.
It took 2 to 3 weeks to receive the documents back in the mail, except the application form, and then another 2 weeks to receive my SSN card in the mail.

I made a 401K withdrawal. It was deposited into my account within about 5 days of processing.
I am not a loan （ I also owe ） I made a withdrawal and usually have to pay a penalty ＆ fee of about 30% （ maybe more ） but this time they only took 10% due to hard living. Very reasonable. I am also off work all the time, but I did drop my 401K to pay my children's college expenses every 6 months.
