I wanted to do that the other day and called the call center, but they told me that I could apply for the PEUC 11 weeks after I had used up my EB20, so I did not have to cancel it. When I applied, there was a note that once I applied for EB20, I could not extend the 11 weeks of PEUC, so I asked them if it was really ok, but they said they were in the process of rebuilding the system now, so I need not worry about it, and they did not cancel it.

I had one week left on my PEUC 13 week, but it says I have no more balance and I can't claim, reactivate, or do anything.

I was told that it was all a system problem and to wait a week or two until the system was fixed.

I am a bit worried if I can really extend my PEUC 11 weeks after EB20 (I have not received confirmation email after applying for EB20, so I am not sure if I have applied in the first place)

On what date did you call the call center ？ Anne, the UI director, commented in the interview video that "if you want to cancel your EB20, please call the call center" on January 15, so after that date they should be accepting EB 20 cancellations should be accepted; if they are still not cancelling after January 15, it means that the UI office has not shared the information with the call center. As per #755 in this topic, if you started with EB20, you can apply for the PEUC 11-week extension if you exhaust your EB20 account balance before the March 13th deadline, but from the phrase "may eligible" in the official announcement, it was never "promised. However, the phrase "may be eligible" in the official announcement does not mean that it is "promised", but only "possible". It is up to each applicant to decide which one to start with.

Please take another look at the official announcement from the UI Office and reconsider whether or not to do so. Keep in mind that the "PEUC 11-week extension" is a Corona Unemployment Action Program and that "EB20" is not a Corona Unemployment Action Program but is treated like a regular UI insurance policy.

I called the call center on January 6.
It has been almost 2 weeks now and still nothing has changed on the screen. I'll just have to be patient and wait.

I will call the call center again to check on the EB20 cancellation.
