I called the Japanese post office to confirm that EMS is still suspended, but airmail is working.
They said it usually takes a week to arrive, but now they think it will take twice as long, but they don't know when it will arrive.

If anyone has recently had a letter or letter sent from Japan by air, could you please tell me how many weeks it took to arrive ？

I have been on temporary layoff since the end of March and have been living on unemployment insurance for a long time, but it is getting harder and harder to live in Hawaii with the high cost of living since my additional allowance from the government (LWA \ will end in December) and my rent assistance will also end in December.

I am still registered with the company and plan to return when they reopen at some point, but I am seriously considering moving out of my Hawaii home and staying with a friend on the mainland until I can resume work. I know that basically you cannot receive UI from out of state, but I have heard that there are some exceptions for cases within the US.

I am thinking of consulting the UI Office as a no-brainer, but if anyone has been temporarily evacuated to the US mainland in a similar case, or knows anything about these cases, please let me know.

The SSN office has been closed for in-person business since last March due to Corona.
In the meantime, if anyone has obtained a new SSN or knows how to obtain one, I would love to know.
If it is not in Hawaii, it can be done in another state.

Hello everyone.
I am in the middle of my 13th week of PEUC and suddenly my State and Federal Taxes are not deducted from what I received this week.
I don't remember messing with the Tax Withholding settings.

I thought I had to change the settings again and tried to change them, but
Federal withholding has already been set and
removed for this claim.

and only State Tax can be changed to YES.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? ？
Also, in such a case, would it be okay to set just the State portion back to YES and apply for the next time?
In that case, will the Federal remain undeducted in the future?
If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know.

I am currently living in Hawaii as an exchange student.
My insurance policy from Japan will expire this month, so I checked with my insurance company in Japan and they told me that I failed the examination and that I need to join a local insurance company.

The application for the second PPP loan has started, but I received a notice from the bank that the Japanese owner cannot apply for the loan because he/she does not have a SSN. The first PPP loan took some time to go through the process, but the loan was approved successfully.
