I received a letter from Japan by airmail on January 27, but it has been two weeks today and I have not received it.

Why did it stop at LA or did it go straight to missing mail ？
When I called customer center last week, I was told that if I did not receive it by the end of last week, I would submit a request and I was told to call again, so I called again as soon as possible this Monday, and a different person answered and told me that they could only tell me to wait.
I told them what I was told by the last call center and they said, "I can't make a request right now. Please wait a little longer." was all I was told.
I thought it was somewhat similar to the UI call center because different people say different things.

The USPS call center also makes you listen to music and wait for an hour and a half every time until you are connected.

If anyone has tried to make a request or missing mail through the website in the past, could you please tell me how to do it ？

Christmas cards and New Year's cards from Japan at the end of the year and the beginning of the New Year were received normally. However, during the first lockdown last year, I really needed to order a copy of my family register from Japan, and the one I had sent from Japan took about six months to arrive. I waited and waited, but there was no sign of it arriving, so I ended up having it sent back again via Fedex, which took about a week to arrive via the mainland.

UPPS has a tendency of missing things and sometimes the contents are missing, so I use Fedex when I have important documents sent to me.

Please read #352 in the "PEUC Unemployment Insurance 13 Week Extension Program" Topic. If you see "Details not available", it may be a week or so before you see "Processed".

Also, please read through all the threads, starting with #732, in case any questions or concerns arise in the future. If you have friends who are receiving UI unemployment insurance, it would be a good idea to ask them to give you a rundown of the process from the time you first apply for unemployment insurance to the time you receive your payment.

UI and PUA are different agencies and systems with different jurisdictions, so take them as completely different.
