It is better to buy in the country where you live, mainly in your main country of residence.
The reason is warranty. If you buy something in Japan, even if it is from the same manufacturer, if something goes wrong Hawaii ・ in the US
it is not covered by the warranty. The reverse is also true.

It doesn't matter if the keyboard is in hiragana or not. If you want,
you can find hiragana keyboards here, too.

A, most things you might take on a trip, such as a PC, are now DUAL VOLTAGE. （ I think it says something like 100v-240v. ）
Electric toothbrushes such as Sonicare can be bought in either country.
So there is no problem with the voltage whether you buy it in Japan or in the US.
However, sometimes the shape of the plugs of American products are different
so you may need a conversion plug for that ？ or so.

I was thinking that it would be better to buy something in Yen that can be bought in Japan because of the weak Yen and strong US dollar, but

if a PC bought in Japan is not guaranteed in the US, it is still better to buy in the US.

I am of the school of thought that I buy things from Japanese manufacturers in Japan. Many major electronics stores in Japan will answer your questions in detail, so you don't have to worry when you buy, and when problems arise, you can solve them by doing a Google search in Japanese.

I understand that many countries are involved to make one product, but I still buy products from Japanese manufacturers in Japan to support Japan because it used to be the main production in Japan.

More than 15 years ago, when I purchased a Dell laptop computer in Japan, I told them I planned to use it overseas and was introduced to their overseas warranty support, so I followed their advice and enrolled in their overseas warranty plan.
In fact, when my laptop went bad while I was living in the US, I contacted support and a representative came to my home and gave me free support since it was under warranty.

I am currently using a Let's Note that I purchased in Japan. I asked at the time of purchase, but Panasonic did not offer overseas warranty support.

I am not sure about the current situation with Dell since I haven't used them for a long time now, but I just searched and it seems that Dell and HP still offer overseas warranty support.
I think it would be a good idea to make a comprehensive comparison in Japan, including the possibility of purchasing one from a manufacturer that offers overseas warranty support.
