If you click on the "FPUC Tracker" tag at the top of the page, you will see a list of status for each state at the bottom of the page that opens. In the case of Hawaii, as of today, January 1, it is in "NOT READY" status, but when it switches to "IMPLEMENTING" status, it means that the payment is near.

The $300 per week will be available to those who will receive UI, PUA, PEUC 11-week extension, and EB20 between December 27, 2020 and the March 13, 2021 closing date. If you are indicated as "Disqualified" due to working more than 40 hours per week or earning more than your WBA, you will not receive $300 for that week. In addition, if the "Pending" status is changed to "Processed", you will receive the payment.

I am really glad that the extension of support including PUA has been decided.
I would like to share with you a change in the display that appears at the beginning of the PUA website.

The Continued Assistance for Unemployed Workers Act of 2020 extends the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) for an additional 11 Payments after the week ending January 2,2020 extends the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance(PUA) for an additional 11 weeks. Payments after the week ending December 26,2020 will be temporarily delayed while the changes are made. Please continue to file your weekly claim certifications as scheduled. ）


On a personal note, since the holiday season has started, there has been a flurry of activity in CA and here in the US. I have been receiving news of COVID-19 infection from my relatives in CA and here in Hawaii since the start of the holiday season, which makes me feel even closer to the disease. As the new year begins, the future of our society continues to be uncertain, but I am confident that there will be a silver lining one day. I hope everyone will take good care of your health.

Happy New Year!

I am glad to see that the PUA office is also working on implementing the system for this 11 week extension.

The world is still shaking, but I think the winds will change in the spring or summer when the free vaccinations that have been decided by the Japanese Diet and the White House will reach us, the general public.
