Congratulations on the PEUC approval ！

As you tried, I guess you can only find out after entering the date in the Week Ending Date section of the Claim a Certification application. It would be good to try again next Sunday to see if it will be a Weekly application or back to a Bi-weekly application. ^^^)

As I suspected, there is a system error on the UI office side that causes the Tax Withholding to reset. The amount that was not deducted will be mailed to your home next year by the UI office on a 1099 form.

Since the PEUC application high season is about to pass and there are no brand new case updates now, I'm afraid that sharing in this thread is coming to an end. Thank you so much for reading and for your heartwarming personal emails.

About the FFCRA Act
Families First Coronavirus Response Act

As some of you may already know, those of you who work in workplaces with less than 500 employees are entitled to use Paid Sick Leave under the FFCRA law that began on September 16.

This right is available to employees who are unable to come to work due to self-quarantine isolation, self-isolation for suspected symptoms of corona infection, self-isolation for corona infection, self-isolation for family members with ） including suspected corona infection （, Childcare or school closure. Employees who are unable to come to work due to Childcare or school closures are covered.

Unemployment insurance is completely voided if the employee refuses to come to work. In the worst case, the employee can be fired for refusing to come to work.

If you find it difficult to come to work for any reason related to Corona, we recommend that you exercise your rights rather than refusing to come to work.

A surprising number of small businesses are still unaware of the FFCRA law.

System Error in Reactivation

We have received progress reports from people who had system errors in Reactivate a Claim application, and we share them with you.

If a system error occurs, the following question message will appear with the Alert display.
↓
You have not filed a claim certification for the previous week(s). Do you wish to file your Claim Certification or continue the Reactivate Claim process?

If this question appears, do not answer it and leave it. Then immediately email your Reactivation request to the UI office with a detailed explanation of what you would like to change and how.

1 ） Reason: Report a separation with employer
2 ） Company Name: Aloha Co. Hired As: Full time
4 ） Last Day Worked: 10/21/2020
5 ） Seperation Reason: Laid off lack of work
6 ） Your name, your Social Security Number, Address, Phone Number, Email Address

If you try to apply for Reactivate a Claim again after the next day when the Alert is displayed, the Alert will disappear and you will be able to apply for the claim. If the Alert message disappears on the next day, the application can be submitted. The Alert message may disappear immediately or after a week.

If the Alert message does not disappear after a week and you are still unable to apply for Reactivate a Claim, please call the UI office.
