For those of you who have left Hawaii while receiving UI, did you leave Hawaii after informing UI of this ？
Since you are scheduled to leave on Saturday, you don't FILE for that week, but until the week before you leave for Japan ？
And when you return to Hawaii again Will you tell UI that you are back in Hawaii?

Our case.
Same situation as #37 inquirymail.

Year End due 3/21/2021 and after finishing the week ending 3/20 on the 21st, I logged in on the 22nd and the balance disappeared and it showed "This claim has expired as of 03/21/2021".

Long in on 3/25, the file minutes were processed and the balance was added up to the week of 9/4.
Year End was changed to 6/30/2021.

This is my case. I hope it will be of help to you.

I work short hours and receive unemployment insurance on Partial.
I became expired on 3/14/21 and received a letter of PEUC extension on 3/19.
I received an email yesterday 3/25 with the contents of File an Initial Claim, so I filed an Initial Claim today.

I did not get a screen to choose whether to continue PEUC or Iinitial Claim, I just clicked Submit and it was done, then I received an email with Confirmation number.
Now, at the bottom of the Inquiry screen, in red, it says "YOUR CLAIM WILL EXPIRE ON 03/20/2022 AND YOUR ELIGIBILITY FOR BENEFITS STILL NEEDS TO BE DETERMINED." and the period in the table is "Claim 03/21/2021 - 03/20/2022".

I don't know if I can Claim for the week of 3/20/21 after I became Expired, I was working shorter hours, so there should be a difference of $25 or more when I calculate the WBA, but I don't know when I will be able to choose to continue PEUC, but we will see. I am not sure when I will be able to choose to continue with PEUC, but I will wait and see.

As I posted last time, on the 22nd and 23rd, the lady at the UI office told me to do an Initail Claim File, which I did. On the same day （ 23rd ） , I received a letter from UI stating that no action was required. （ I thought it was a bad idea. ）
I wanted to check again, so I called again on the 24th, to no avail. 2 hours on hold, but I got through again and was able to talk. This time the lady also checked with the supervisor and said that my case was correct with the Initial Claim File. （ I did not receive any email at all, but ）

If an e-mail is sent to someone who has never worked since unemployment insurance benefits began and has been temporarily or totally unemployed for a long time, he says it is a "Glitch on the part of the UI office. They say, "Just ignore the e-mails and continue filing weekly and you'll be fine."

The unemployment insurance help team and I totally agree with you, but the UI office not announcing the above immediately remains a problem. I believe that Anne, who did not speak up about the above in the interview video, was not aware of this at the time. Rather, "it is more likely that the entire UI office did not anticipate this Glitch," as discussed by the Unemployment Insurance Help Team.
