When I transfer money between my accounts, even between different banks, my bank does not charge any fees. The only time I incur a fee is when I transfer money to an account in another name （ I use Wire Transfer, which is also usually $30 per transfer, but my bank reimburses me if I maintain the account for several years.

I opened accounts with various banks in Hawaii, but found them inconvenient due to frequent small fees, so I now only use Territorial. Here, both checking and saving are small, but interest is paid.
