Honolulu Marathon 2024" will be held on December 8, 2012.

The Honolulu Marathon Japan Office will begin accepting entries for the Honolulu Marathon 2024 (Full Marathon ／ 10K Run ＆ Walk ), which will be held on December 8, 2024, and the Kalakaua Mile, a one-mile fun run event held the day before the event. Entries for the first phase of the "Kalakaua Merry Mile", a one-mile fun run event to be held on the day before the event, will open on May 17.



The Honolulu Marathon is unique in that there is no time limit. It is an ideal event for first-time full marathon runners.

Runners will be greeted by a fireworks display at the start of the race, and will be able to run through the downtown area, which is decorated with seasonal Christmas lights. Other attractions of the Honolulu Marathon include the spectacular view of Diamond Head and other Honolulu tourist attractions and the beautiful coastline.

Recently, the "10K Run ＆ Walk" has become increasingly popular with families with children, three generations, casual friends, and those pushing strollers. Runners of the "Full Marathon" and "10K Run ＆ Walk" will start at the same time according to their respective estimated goal times, so participants of different events can also run the course together as long as their running pace is the same.


The Honolulu Marathon is a "festival of runs" held at this time of winter. The course is set up so that runners can enjoy the location of Hawaii, a popular resort destination for the Japanese, to the fullest, allowing them to complete the race in their own style. The warm hospitality of the local staff ・ and volunteers, and the "Aloha ・ Spirit" of this event will provide you with memories like no other.

On the morning of the day before the event, the "Kalakaua Merry Mile," a one-mile run along Kalakaua Avenue, will be held. This is also a special experience, running down the main street of Waikiki, and many children and elderly people participate as a way to get acclimated to the full marathon.


A limited number of "Honolulu Marathon 2024 Official Training T-shirts" will also be available in late June. Details will be announced on the official website as they become available.

This spectacular seaside course starts at Ala Moana Park, passes the world-famous Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, turns around at Hawaii Kai, and finishes at Kapiolani Park. The course is mostly flat and easy to run, except for a short hill near Diamond Head.
[10K Run ＆ Walk]
Starts at the same time as the full marathon and finishes at Kapiolani Park, 10 km from the full marathon course above.

■ Course
Start from Monsarrat Street in front of Honolulu Zoo, run westward along Kalakaua Street, turn around halfway to Eanes Beach, and run 1 mile (about 1.6km). The course will start from Monsarrat Street in front of the Minneapolis Zoo and run westward along Kalakaua Avenue.
