Hello. I went to Hawaii for the first time last year with my children. We found a place to stay on Vivinavi Hawaii and had great memories. The place we stayed for 2 weeks was with a person named Miya who posted on 3/24/2012. Please be assured that it is not a room share. It was very convenient because almost all the kitchen utensils and utensils were provided. It was about a 10 minute walk from Waikiki Beach. It's not minutes away from the beach, but it wasn't noisy at night and I slept well. There was also a small convenience store right below where we stayed, which was very helpful. The staff at the hotel, Miya, who manages the property, was very kind and helpful when I had a lot of questions.　I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay.

I am also a Delta guy, but I took the May flight on JAL.
Honolulu → Haneda → Nagoya for regional flights.
Now it says that if the flight is cancelled, there is no change or difference if the flight is until November.

However, since I bought my ticket in February, I experienced 4 changes due to cancellations 😅

The JAL person who handled my case was very courteous, and I was interested in her low attitude, even though it was not her fault that the flight was cancelled.

Hawaiian is slow to announce cancellations.

I had to pay both the downgrade penalty and the difference between the flight and the one I was changing to. Because of this, I plan to avoid using JAL as much as possible for the time being.

JAL mileage can be transferred to Zipair, so I transferred it to Zip. It seems you can use it to pay for in-flight shopping, food and drink, etc.

My final destination is Nagoya too, but I decided to fly to/from Tokyo because I was a bit worried about the transfer time at Haneda or Narita, and also because I wanted to see my siblings and family who live in Tokyo. I would be most happy if Delta would bring back the Nagoya flight, but I imagine that after the Tokyo flight is restored in October, they will look at the number of passengers and decide whether to reopen the Nagoya flight or not. JAL's fuel surcharge will be 23,600 yen/one way from June ticketing.
Currently it is 12,700 yen/one way, which is high enough, but it is double that.

I understand that you have your own account in Japan, which means that you are transferring dollars from your US account to Japan. If your Japanese account is a Yen account （ and this is normal ）, then the first step is to buy Yen at a US bank and send the Yen to Japan. However, if you have a dollar account in Japan, you can send the money in dollars, so you are not affected by the exchange rate, just the Wire Transfer fee. My US bank is Citibank, but the dollar-Yen exchange rate is very bad ＞ （ plus a few % commission ）, so I open a dollar account with a Japanese bank （ Mitsubishi UFJ ） and send the money in dollars. That way, Citibank charges only $ 35 and there is no fee on the Japanese side. When I withdraw in Yen from my dollar deposit account, I only have to pay a 0.25 yen fee, based on the TTB rate of that day. I find this method to be the most advantageous in terms of exchange fees. I have not used Wise, but from checking their site, it appears that you can exchange at a rate similar to my method. Hiring a lawyer or filing a lawsuit is probably the last resort if DCCA cannot resolve the issue, so why not file a file complaint with DCCA first?

One point I just remembered that you should be careful when you Wire using Citibank, because the Dollar ／ Yen rate is quite bad when you Wire from Citibank to Japan. I opened a dollar deposit account with Mitsubishi UFJ （ on the Japan side ） and sent the money in dollars, not Japanese yen.
