I have already graduated, but
my son enrolled in GE from Kinder.

1, the reason for applying was that they had a Japanese program in their classes,
and
my husband wanted to focus on a musical instrument. Our family did not have several choices, but only one school
so we gathered information anyway.
We also looked into school excursion destinations.

The reason for GE is that we want to know the differences in each school's program, not just the school district's school, and put our child in the school that looks the best for her.
So, we are at the stage now where we know the differences between each school. If, after understanding the differences between the candidate schools, we come to the conclusion that the school in the school district looks the best, we may not GE.

But I'm having trouble figuring out how to gather information to know the differences between those schools, because there's almost no information on the Web site.

or by visiting the school's staff room, etc. ？

In my case, I talked to mothers who had older children and also went on a tour of schools I was interested in. I think you should go on a tour. School events （ such as funfairs ） are open to everyone, not just current students and others involved, so I think you should go.

In my son's case,
the school he crossed over to had a lot of homework anyway to keep his level up, and I think it was pitiful ？.
However, I really appreciated the Japanese class in the class.

You can call directly to the school you are interested in and ask about both the funfair and the school tour. The office is busy in the morning, so about a somewhat calmer time. We had one school that we removed from our GE list just because the office staff was so arrogant. We took our kids to both the fair and the school tour, and decided on both Elementary and Middle based on the school's surroundings and our kids' reactions as our first priority.

There is an orientation at that time, and the principal will talk to you about the school's features and what they focus on. In addition to the funfair, there are other events such as Halloween that outsiders are free to attend, so please go there.
