You can also use Sky Cab and pay a large tip and have all the procedures done by Sky Cab

I flew Hawaiian Airlines at the end of June
Last time there was a long line at the end of the year, so this time
I arrived at the airport 3 hours before the airline recommendation
It was not crowded at all and went smoothly.
After that, I had to wait in line for security, but I didn't have to take off my shoes, so I was able to go smoothly
By the way, the plane was full or nearly full
and it was in that condition
I guess it depends on the time of year, but just FYI...

In my experience, it seems to be crowded on weekends. It takes over an hour just to check in every time. On weekdays, it often goes easily. Not always, though.

I used this service in mid-April to Japan arriving at Narita.

I arrived 3 hours before the flight and had to wait in a long check-in line. .....
I was told that the reason for the long line was because the same counter was used for Haneda flights departing earlier than Narita flights.

The machine is at the same counter. The machine finally gave me a ticket after 3 tries. My husband stayed on the line and I went to the machine, and when it didn't work after two tries, I was worried about giving up, but on the third try I got it. ！

An American ？ looking person was also struggling, but he looked like he could manage.

There were a few Japanese who tried to check in using the machine, but gave up and returned to the line.

By the way,
my husband's passport was accepted easily from the beginning, but my passport was out twice.

And as for checked baggage,
we were told to take our paper tickets to the "ticketed counter".
I showed the ticket flier and the attendant called me to come over.

I left the long line safely, but this time the checkpoint was so crowded that I was just in time to board.

The familiar faces in the long line around us boarded the plane, gasping for breath... I wondered if the people further back in the line had boarded ？ but I couldn't tell.

By the way, Hawaiian Airlines has a plane in the domestic area, so even if I check in at international flight, I have to move to the domestic area after all.

the machine.

By the way, as of last month, the Hawaiian baggage checkpoint was
moved to the international end of the
terminal at Domestic (Interisland).
It used to be the farthest opposite end, but
now it is closer.
So after checking in at the international terminal, it is not too far to go to
the baggage check point at the domestic terminal.
When I used this terminal, it was relatively quiet and I could go there easily.

I checked with the Hawaiian ground staff before,
the kiosk machine can be used if you have a Japanese passport.
If you approach the counter and ask for your checked baggage when there is an opening. The company will be happy to help you.

After attaching the luggage tag issued by the machine,
I usually go to the back of the counter and ask for a gap between customers and clients to deal with,
completing check-in in a flash.

TSA can be entered from anywhere, so it is one way to find an open space and use it.
Note, however, that the TSA PRE-only entrance is only accessible if you are eligible for it.
Incidentally, the Interisland Terminal should not accept check-in for Japanese flights.

We arrived at Honolulu airport 3 hours before boarding time.
The check-in line was not very long, but it took about
30 minutes to be called to the counter
from the beginning of the line.

Actually, I first tried to check in at the machine, but
I got an error
no matter how many times I tried to enter the number of pieces of baggage to check in, so I asked the agent there
who managed to get my boarding pass, but …
the agent continued to check me in. The agent continued to operate the baggage check, but the error continued
.
And finally, the baggage tag could not be produced by the machine
and I was told to get in line for check-in ….
I had no choice but to get in line at the end of the line …
However, another person who was operating the machine next to me had a boarding pass and
baggage tag, so it seems that there are cases where you can check in
without any problem.

I was not satisfied with the result, but
there are more counters than before, and
the line seems to be getting better, so
I guess it is acceptable at least for now.
I don't recommend it for people with children or the elderly, though.
