I would love to know too. Since the oven has more space than the toaster, it would take longer to heat up the oven itself first. The toaster heats up in a matter of seconds, so I think this alone makes a difference in the electricity bill. We don't use a toaster in our house, but we have a two-layer upper and lower oven, the top is a regular oven but the bottom has a convection function.
The top is about one-third the size of a regular oven and the bottom is about two-thirds the space of a regular oven, so I always use the top when baking small items, but it takes less time than baking in the regular size open.
When I bake a smaller turkey or whole chicken, I also bake it on top, and it takes about half the time that the internet says, so this alone should lower your electric bill.
In my opinion, a toaster would surely be cheaper than this, but I would love to hear what others think.
