My case is
I applied to Catholic Charities in April for a Rent and Electricity Assistant. This week I found out on Catholic Charities website that I was COMPLETED, but I never received an email, and when I checked with my landlord, he said I would be paid for the 4 months of rent that I had not paid.
My unemployment insurance is pending and I am worried about paying rent starting next month.
I requested it because it said the maximum was until December, but it was not possible.
Electricity bill is still being verified and has not been approved.
Please let me know if you have been approved so I can use it as a reference.

I was sent to Native Hawaiian Advancement.

My situation is that I am not behind on my rent, but I am one month behind on my electric bill.

The NHA representative told me that I will receive a total of Up TO 12 months of assistance.

Since I am one month behind on my electric bill, I was told that if the NHA pays the one month electric bill that I am behind on from that assistance
it will be deducted from the amount of assistance for the next 12 months.

I was told to choose one of the following options.

● If you put the money into arrears, your aid for this future month will be slightly reduced.
or
● Turn it in for rent and electricity for the next 12 months.

I chose rent and electric for the next 12 months.

I was then APPROVED.

I was told that NHA would email me as soon as the owner was paid
but
I am still puzzled as to how many months rent will be paid first so I wrote here too. ） I am not sure how many months rent will be paid.
It is a mystery because some people had only 2 months according to others.

Also, I was told to send the FUTURE Utilities BILL to my caseworker
regarding the electric bill.

Cathoric Chatiries seems to be a little different again.

Cathoric Chatiries were treated differently. ）

I wonder if the screening process is less strict for NHA ？
When I applied to Catholic Charities for a rental assistant before, I was not in arrears with my rent, so I failed the screening process. This time I will be subsidized for the unpaid rent, but it seems that I have to apply again after June.

I am an NHA and was paid through July without any confirmation of the pay period being communicated to me.
I was told the maximum is 12 months, but I don't know what happens after July. Whether the maximum payment period of 12 months is used for arrears or for rent in the future, in the end the period and the amount will remain the same, so if you have arrears, you should have them paid from the arrears.
If you wanted the 12 months ahead instead of the arrears, you would not receive it even if there are 12 months left because if the budget runs out in the future, it will eventually end at that point.

The second time, I went to the CATHORIC site and answered a few simple questions
This time I received a PRESCHREENING email from CATHORIC. （ Like HNA, I was not able to aply to the end on the internet. ）
Then, about a week later, I received an APPLICATION LINK from CATHORIC by email and was told to apply, so I applied to CATHORIC as well.
However, in my case, CATHORIC became DECLINE because I had already applied to NHA.

NHA initially told me that you do not belong to Priority 1 （ because of your monthly income ） and that I should wait
until it is your turn.
I almost gave up, but on May 5, the person in charge informed me that it was my turn, and
I was already approve on the same day. 。。。。 but payment has not been made yet.

I think it is not possible for individuals to choose whether they want NHA or CATHORIC.
There is no question of "Which do you prefer? There is no question "Which do you prefer?" and you are automatically redirected to the respective site.

Last year's rental assistant program also seems to have been different, depending on the agency, some people had to be
in arrears to get it, and some people got it even if they were not in arrears.

If you want rental assistance starting in June, we recommend
you reapply ！ .

So we learned from the landlord how many months of support we would be getting. There was some communication between the landlord and Catholic, but I was not told that clearly.
The arrears are for 3 months.

I was informed by my landlord last week that he had communicated with my caseworker and she said I would be paid for 3 months, but today my landlord contacted me again and told me that he had been told that I would be paid for 2 months.

I don't think the caseworker will be notified unless we contact them. I was also transferred to July without any notification. I think you should check with them directly.

In my case, I applied to Catholic Charities in April and contacted the landlord after it was Complete on the website. I received my check the week after my landlord received the email from Catholic Charities.
