Parking at Ala Moana SC is not available.
Everyone will have a family member drop them off or take an Uber or cab to Ala Moana. There is also a shuttle bus from the ZOO in Waikiki.

Kalanianaole Highway
is open for one-way traffic during the marathon.

Be aware that the Kaimuki Kahala area is partially blocked by the marathon course, so you will have to drive through residential areas of Kaimuki (Harding, etc.)
On the west side of Kahala Mall, take Funakai St. to the mountain side
Turn right at the end of the street. Turn left at the first Maria St, turn right on Ainakoa Ave,
then turn right onto Kalanianaole Hwy.

I'm sharing this because my child just recently went through a similar situation. There was an event in the mainland U.S. in the middle of the semester, and I had to attend that, so I took a week off.
I properly discussed it with all the professors in the class, and I remember that their reaction was not bad. Some said it was OK if I submitted a formal invitation to the event and did all the homework, while others said that proof was not required but the main prerequisite was to Catch Up on all the classwork to be Missed.
Some classes had tests during that time, but in that case, they put him alone on a different day （ I think they were afraid that other students would leak the information, so the test was moved up ）. It went surprisingly smoothly and cooperatively, probably because I usually tried to communicate with my professors as much as possible. 4-day leave of absence form to my department teacher.

On the day I returned to school, before the class started, I received

I work at the school my child attends.

I worked in the tourism industry until I gave birth, but left after the birth to raise my child as a stay-at-home mom. I started looking for a job when my child started kinder. Until my kids went to pre, I worked from home plus nights. I had a sales job that allowed me to work short hours after my husband, who worked full time, came home. It was a time when I didn't have the luxury of being too choosy about what I did.

After I was able to send my child to pre, I was able to get a job that I wanted to do and that allowed me to utilize my skills. Although the working environment is client-driven, I feel very secure in my mentality while raising my children. Good luck ！

We switched to T-mobile internet this year. We used to use Spectrum or Hawaiian Telcom internet, but both of these companies become expensive after the 2 year promotion period, but T-mobile has ＄ 40 ～ ＄ 50 with no extra fee.
