If you can't make a single Japanese friend in Hawaii, you must have other problems ？
The best thing I can recommend for you is counseling.

In other states, there are so few Japanese that they are forced to associate with other Japanese.
That is not a real friend, just a connection because they want to speak Japanese.

Here in Hawaii, like in Japan, Japanese people are not rare, so
if you don't communicate with them yourself, they won't do anything for you.
It must be a relief for you to finally have people to talk to and vent to here.
